MOZART Open Innovation Program for the industry of the future is the initiative of the Interreg-Mozart project, dedicated to manufacturing companies in the regions of South Tyrol-Trentino-Veneto-Tyrol-Carinthia, with a concrete objective: to guide the transformation of manufacturing companies through diversifying or renewing their activities through innovative technologies and business models.

MOZART Open Innovation Program is an opportunity for companies from the neighboring regions of Italy and Austria to collaborate with innovation ecosystem actors and start-ups. The goal is to stimulate economic growth and promote technological innovation through the implementation of innovative solutions and technologies for environmental sustainability and digitalization.

The Interreg MOZART project is part of the Interreg VI-Italy-Austria cooperation program, co-financed by the European Union, whose objective is to strengthen a cross-border ecosystem of start-ups and investors in the South Tyrol-Trentino-Veneto-Tyrol-Carinthia regions. Partners in this project include Trentino Sviluppo, Build!, IDM Alto Adige, MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®, Maize, NOI Techpark Alto Adige, H-Farm, and Industrio Ventures.

Open Innovation is a tool designed to support companies in innovating through ideas and technologies from the outside. This program was created to connect Italian and Austrian companies with international start-ups and technological projects.

In particular, the MOZART Open Innovation Program offers:

– the opportunity to learn about start-ups, innovative solutions, and technologies from all over Europe with the possibility of implementing them to promote business innovation;

– the opportunity to do Open Innovation with local and international start-ups that will be selected based on innovation needs for sustainability and digitalization;

– networking, international visibility, contacts with the world of innovative entrepreneurship;

– visibility for your company and positioning as a company attentive to innovation and change.

The Mozart Open Innovation Program is intended for all companies that:

– Are sensitive to issues of digitalization and sustainability

– Want to learn about emerging technologies and innovative start-ups to bring innovation within the company

– Have curiosity and demonstrated internal capacity to follow innovation projects

– Are located in the regions supported by the Interreg program (South Tyrol-Trentino-Veneto-Tyrol-Carinthia)

– Are willing to make their name and brand available for program promotion

– Are willing to participate in at least 1 online meeting and 1 in-person meeting with the start-ups and other solution providers selected by the Mozart project team.

The partners of the Mozart project will select approximately 10 companies from all those who have expressed their interest, based on the criteria listed above.

The program will continue in September 2024 with the launch of a call for start-ups aimed at finding the best business projects and innovative technologies for sustainability and company digitization. These will be selected from across Europe and submitted to the attention of the companies involved in the program.
